On April 9, we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley to our newest build site in Port Ewen, and the visit turned into something bigger than a tour. Students from the Ulster BOCES culinary program provided lunch, members of Mt. Academy joined us, and the afternoon became a genuine gathering of community partners united around one mission. At the center of it all: an energy-efficient 3-bedroom, 2-bath home rising from the ground for a family working toward homeownership through our program. Days like this show exactly what Ulster County Habitat is built on, partnerships that go far beyond the construction site.
