Early in June, we did what we look forward to all year long—we said thank you. Ulster County Habitat for Humanity gathered at Robert E. Post Memorial Park to celebrate the volunteers who make everything we do possible. Build crew and ReStore team members came together, some meeting for the very first time, for an afternoon of food, laughter, a book and puzzle swap, and a spirited round of people bingo that proved our volunteers are every bit as interesting as they are hardworking.
A special shoutout to Ulster BOCES for providing the sides and to Andrew for expertly manning the grill.
Our volunteers are the backbone of this organization. They show up on build sites, behind the wheel of the truck, on the ReStore floor, and everywhere in between because they believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
We see you. We are grateful for you. We could not do this without you.
