Executive Director’s Message

It is an exciting time at Ulster Habitat! Excavation has begun for our next home on East Chester Street in Kingston.  We are accepting applications for Partner Families for this and future Habitat homes. If you believe you might be a candidate, please contact our office at 845.340.0907. If you know a family in need of decent, affordable housing, tell them about Habitat. We know that better housing conditions lead to healthier and more successful communities and families.

Volunteers & Donors

Every day we add volunteers who are committed to our vision of an Ulster County where everyone has a decent, affordable place to live.  We are grateful for your continued support.  Please join us as a volunteer, with a donation, or both! We are building our 13th home on East Chester Street and move one step closer to Ulster Habitat’s goal of a decent, affordable place to live for every person in our county.

Christine Brady LaValle

Executive Director, Ulster County Habitat for Humanity

Please give…here’s why.

Ulster Habitat, partner families, hundreds of volunteers and your donations have:

  • Improved the lives of 12 families who live in Habitat-built homes (soon to be 13).
  • Established a permanent fund for future family builds – as each family pays their Habitat mortgage, that money is used to establish the next build, next home, next life with better hope and odds of success.
  • Benefitted our local area tax base and population stability – we only fund local build projects. These projects pay back through community improvement.

Studies show that improved housing conditions can contribute significantly to improved outcomes in health and educational success – improvements with a long-term, positive impact on the local community.

We accept  cars, cash, goods, property and more, online, in-person or by mail. For online donations, please be sure to designate that you wish the donation to benefit Ulster Habitat—your local affiliate. Thanks!
