Once an application is received it is reviewed for completeness. We will only review completed applications, so please make sure that you complete every section of the application (PDF copy below) and submit copies of the required financial documentation noted below. When an application is complete it is reviewed by the family services coordinator. If preliminary requirements are met, the applicant(s) meets with the family services coordinator to discuss mortgage financing options available. If financing is approved, a home visit is scheduled. After a final review of criteria (the need for housing, the ability to pay, and the willingness to partner) a recommendation concerning acceptance may be forwarded to the Executive Director, who will review and submit it as appropriate for final approval by the Board of Directors.
The documents to submit with your completed application are:
• Two years recent tax returns with W2s
• 8 weeks recent pay stubs
• Proof of SSI or SSDI benefits for any household member regardless of their age (Copy of the Award Letter)
• Proof of any other additional income, i.e., child support received, foster care payments, dependent care payments, housing voucher, etc.
