Local Designers Michael Van Nort and Shana Luther Transform Habitat Home with ReStore Finds for One-Day Public Open House in Port Ewen
Designer Spotlight Open House invites the community to experience how donated furnishings, local artistry, and good design come together inside a newly completed Habitat home
Ulster County Habitat for Humanity will open the doors of its newly completed home at 149 Doris Street in Port Ewen on Tuesday, June 16 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a one-day Designer Spotlight Open House. The public is invited to tour the staged home, meet the designers, and see firsthand how thoughtful design and reclaimed materials can shape a welcoming, livable space for a working family.
The home, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 1,300-square-foot energy-efficient build, has been styled by Hudson Valley designers Michael Van Nort of MVN Design and Shana Luther of Shana Luther Interior Design. More than 50 percent of the furnishings and housewares used in the staging were sourced directly from the Ulster County Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Kingston, demonstrating how secondhand goods can be reimagined into rooms that feel intentional, warm, and beautiful.
